| I don't buy brand new computer equipment as you get far more for your money buying refurbished kit. Therefore I don't waste time looking for minor scratches. This laptop is a medium specification and is good at handling everyday work. I bought it for my son who recently moved in to a flat - where space was important. Thus this laptop does everything his old computer does, in much less space. That also means it is not designed for carrying around town accessing your emails - that's not what it was bought for. The 15 inch screen is big enough for close working (how far away do you sit from a laptop?). The 3gb memory is adequate for multi tasks and the 160gb hard disk is only small if you store loads of photographs (and why would you on a laptop?). The processor is more than adequate - unless you play high end games - and again why buy a laptop for that? Three usb ports is ample and connectivity is fine. A small issue - my laptop came with a corrupt windows registry - which would require being sent back as it failed to boot. However, I always reload any refurbished computer with my own copy of windows, so in half an hour I was up and running. | |
