The quality of this camera is stunning for the price I paid. Crystal clear video, and very good audio from it's built in top mounted microphone. I bought it so I could use Skype to contact my son in Thailand and the first thing he said when we spoke was how good the video was. I contacted a friend in Spain the other week, and he could see a fly on the ceiling behind me!
I haven't tried any other high end cameras, ny previous ones have been pretty bacsic, but I just can't see any other webcam being significantly better than this - certainly not at this price.
It works beautifully with Skype, except for one thing - there is a button on the top of the camera which when pressed gives a warning that it only works with Windows Live. I don't know what it does, but I don't need it for Skype!

Great little camera, easy to setup (win xp) and use with skype video. Definite improvement on our previous camera (5 years old) and some silly software to help ou look silly on camera (face tracking allows the addition of silly wigs).
in built mic seems good too.
One star off for cost, but overall it actually seems good value |

Not cheap but an excellent High Definition Webcam.
Glass optics give very good quality and the detector is very responsive to changing light levels.
Full range of resolutions available from 160x120 upto 1280 x 780 60Hz frame rate.
Video capture and photo options available through the user interface.
The quality really shows against cheaper lower resolution products.

very pleased with this:
- build quality is fine
- picture quality is OK
- sound quality from built in microphone is more than sufficient for a video call
- adjustable 'bracket' moulds to the screen casing effectively, should fit pretty much any monitor
Other stuff:
- comes with a good long USB cable so you're not too restricted as to where you put it
- has some nice digital effects

I bought this to video conference with colleagues all around the globe.
It is a superb quality picture. My US colleague said that it was like "looking through a window" at me.
