Loved it but it stopped working after a couple of weeks!: Rating: 3/5
I loved this Netbook but after a couple of weeks it stopped working & I had to send it back. It would just not boot up. I presume it was just a faulty one. Apart from that it was very good value for money, looked great & Amazon dealt with the return & refund for this product quickly & professionaly.

Bought this product for when we travel, have found it excellent. Very lite. Now able to keep in touch with family where ever we are. Also purchased small cover -great.
Avoid like the plague: Rating: 1/5
I bought this Netbook for my wife last Christmas and in under ten months it is now unusable due to a fault with the screen which has rendered it unreadable. Further to this on contacting and returning it to Acer, despite it still being within warranty, they offered to repair it ONLY if I paid them another £91.
Add that to the fact that my son has an Acer laptop that has broken down twice in the past 14 months then I would recommend avoiding ALL of their products. |

this netbook will not set the world afire. It does most things adequately, its n280 atom processor is a slight improvement on the n270,looks ok and is fairly light.
FOR: plays BBC Iplayer normal video content with just the barest of stutter (HD content unwatchable).
nice keyboard.
good bright screen.
feels well made.
AGAINST: poor battery life (buy a 6 cell model if you can afford it).
touchpad buttons are heavy to press.
lots of bloatware.
OVERALL: average, not the best-but neither is it the worst.
