| Bought this from an Amazon seller, last Dec. After 4 months light use, the HDD light failed to illuminate and the notebook shows only a black screen---no Windows XP! Complained to seller, who only gives 2 weeks to return an item. Complained to Amazon, who only give 3 months. Had dickens of a job proving to Toshiba that it was only 4 months old, as according to its serial number it was made in 2008! At last I have proved to their satisfaction that it is still under the 12 month manufacturer's warranty and am about to return it for repair. I shall never again buy such a costly item from Amazon, as their support has been very unsatisfactory. | | Totally excellent: Rating: 5/5 |

| I have had this netbook for some months now but have had to ditch it. The letters on the keyboard are printed in a very faint colour which makes them near impossible to see unless in strong light. It causes strain to the eye and difficulty of use particularly when traveling so, when one has often unfavourable lighting. It therefore defeats its purpose as a travel PC. I liked it very much in other respects but have had to give it away and invest in a netbook by another maker. | Nice small size and pretty good all round, but the keyboard is awful, not just in size, more that the keys are very un-responsive. You have to make sure every key is pushed down fully, and even then things are missed. If you type using more than two fingers, this is not the netbook for you. | | Netbook: Rating: 5/5 |
Hi,
I bought this unit for my partner as she was starting a new job and did not want to carry round a full size laptop.
It worked straight from the bag and is quite fast the graphics are good and it accepts new programs very easily. I also purchased an optical drive to go with it. I have no problem at all in recommending this product to anyone as an alternative to the laptop. | |
