IBM places what it calls the UltraConnect Wireless Antenna in the upper part of the screen. You can't see it of course as it's enclosed in the casing, but it really helps to extend your wireless range. Most manufacturers take the cheap route and put the antenna in the base part of the system where it's susceptible to interference from all the other components in there.
The IBM T60 has enhanced security features which includes a fingerprint reader, you can configure your T60 to use your fingerprint to log into your computer instead of having to input a password.
